No, just kidding. We just wanted to give you some tipps what possibilities you have to pread your fundraising event offline. Lately we told yu how to create some buzz about your fundraising event online - but there are more potential donors out there!

So you have chosen a project and have already created a fundraising event, but do not know how best to publicize it and maximize your efficiency? Well here are some good ways in which you can go about spreading your fundraising event offline.

The most fundamental way to ask for participation in your fundraising event is to personally address your family, friends, neighbors and colleagues, and ask them to contribute. It is also important that you request them to further spread the word of the fundraising event

Print cards asking for participation in your fundraising event and be sure to include other relevant information, such as your goal, motivation and your contact information, and distribute these by either handing them out personally or dropping them in mailboxes.

Another smart idea about raising awareness of your fundraising event is to contact the local media. By getting in touch through these local organizations such as the local newspaper or the radio station, you will be able to target a larger mass of audience and will in effect dramatically increase awareness of your fundraising event.

Ask local companies to help support your fundraising event by sponsoring you for example publication materials. Whether they are flyers, ribbons, buttons, etc., anything that helps raise awareness of your fundraising event will automatically result in an increase of donations. The more people you reach out to, the more potential donations you will receive.

Have a talent? Do you happen to be a singer or a musician? Put them to display as you take to the streets to raise awareness for your event. By gathering a crowd or even simply addressing passersby of your fundraising event and asking for a donation, you will significantly improve your chances that your fundraising event will be huge success. Your engagement will furthermore strike the audience as encouraging and builds trust with your potential donors. This already worked for Fabian and his fundraising event “Singing for Change” in Berlin - check out the video.

You have another great idea how to spread your fundraising event without using the power of the internet? Well, then let us know and leave a comment!
